Rev. Fr. Christopher Foustoukos

Father Chris Foustoukos serves the parish of St. Vasilios (Basil) the Great in Peabody, MA. This parish is comprised of nearly 1,500 families with various ministries that serve children, young adults, couples, and seniors. The parish also has a dynamic intramural basketball program for the youth of the parish, as well as a vibrant St. Stephen’s Ministry team that regularly visits both seniors in nursing homes and the home-bound. The parish has begun an Orthodoxy on Tap ministry to young adults that meets in a local restaurant over dinner and has an invited speaker make a presentation on a contemporary issue followed by frank and open discussion.

Father Chris is the Fire Chaplain for the city of Peabody and a board member of the Massachusetts Corps of Fire Chaplains. He is a member of the Crisis Intervention Stress Management (CISM) for Metro Boston North. Father Chris serves as a Chaplain for the Veterans Administration at the Jamaica Plain, West Roxbury and Brockton Campuses. He is also a member of the Board of the Lynnfield Council on Aging and the Greater Lynn Senior Services (GLSS). Father Chris is deeply involved in Ecumenical and Interfaith affairs as a member of the clergy groups in Peabody and Lynnfield.
