V. Rev. Fr. Makarios Niakaros

A Boston, Massachusetts native, Fr. Makarios was ordained a deacon on the Feast of the Three Hierarchies on January 30, 1991 by His Eminence Metropolitan Methodios of Boston. He was ordained to the Holy Priesthood the following month at the Annunciation Cathedral in Boston. His Eminence Metropolitan Methodios assigned him to his first parish in Concord, New Hampshire, Holy Trinity, where he served for two years before receiving his next posting at St. Catherine in Braintree, Massachusetts.

His Eminence Metropolitan Methodios conferred the title of Archimandrite upon him on December 29, 1996. Fr. Makarios became the spiritual guide and pastor for the Holy Apostles Saints Peter and Paul Greek Orthodox Church of Haverhill, Massachusetts where he has served since then. He is presently working on his Ph.D.
