Visitors are Very Important to the Philoxenia House Ministry

Parish Priests and Philoptochos women from throughout the Metropolis are visiting the Philoxenia House residents who enjoy meeting the Priests and the Philoptochos women who assist His Eminence Metropolitan Methodios in this outreach ministry.

The Philoptochos Women of the St. Demetrios Parish in Weston, MA have undertaken the project of garden beautification for the residence, and every season they bring and plant beautiful foundation bushes admired by all.

Following the planting, the ladies enjoy a cup of coffee with the residents who share their fears and hopes and express their appreciation for having this home away from home.

Among the residents is little Constantinos who is here with his mother, Yiota, shown with Fr. Peter Rizos, the Pastor of the Annunication Church in Woburn, to correct vision issues, the result of a premature birth.  Constantinos has a twin sister who is at home with dad, waiting anxiously the return of the "America" part of the family.

Father rizos and members of the Parish Philoptochos Ladies spent a few hours with the residents during a recent Sunday afternoon.
