To the Rev. Clergy and the Faithful of the Metropolis of Boston

Just a few days ago, 21 Egyptian Coptic Christians were kidnapped and later beheaded by savages pledging allegiance to the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIS). This is the latest in the ongoing war against Christianity which at one time flourished in that part of the world.

There is a considerably large Coptic Community in New England. I ask that you reach out to our brethren during their time of grief. This coming Sunday, I ask that you offer special memorial prayers for the repose of the souls of the victims of the barbaric killings.

                                                          With Archpastoral Love,
