Pastoral Visit to St. Gregory, Mansfield, MA

On Sunday, January 24th, His Eminence Metropolitan Methodios visited the St. Gregory Parish in Mansfield, MA to celebrate the Feast Day of their Patron Saint St. Gregory the Theologian who's name day is celebrated on January 25th.

Alexa has recently become a steward herself at St. Gregory and she is always looking for ways to share her time and talent.

Alexa is 29 and attends HMEA, which is a non-profit service agency which supports adults with intellectual and developmental challenges. They provide support and education to help broaden their horizons and make them active participants in their community. They are always looking for job opportunities. Alexa has done some envelope stuffing for the church. In fact, Tony Vrame has employed the group for different jobs. HMEA now has created this flower shop called Helping Hands. They are a typical floral shop. St Gregory regularly orders arrangements for memorial services. They in fact did the flowers for my daughter, Molly's wedding in July. (Everything was gorgeous.) The floral shop is an amazing concept-great floral arrangements at competitive prices AND helping to support individuals with developmental challenges. It's a win-win.
