His Eminence Metropolitan Methodios Visits St. Demetrios Weston, MA

- Brookline, MA. On Sunday October 30th, 2016 His Eminence Metropolitan Methodios celebrated the Divine Liturgy at the St. Demetrios parish in Weston, MA, which celebrated its feast earlier in the week. On the occasion of the 25th Anniversary of His All-Holiness Patriarch Bartholomew’s election to the Ecumenical Throne, His Eminence asked the faithful to join him in the prayer that Almighty God grant many years to His All-Holiness so that he might continue his inspiring Patriarchal ministry.

It was a great joy for His Eminence to tonsure 20 altar boys as Readers of the Church. In addressing the young men His Eminence shared with them his hope that one day they would assume leadership roles in their historic community. He also advised them to set aside some time each day to study Holy Scripture and sit in silence, spending some time alone with God.

His Eminence bestowed upon Fr. Vincent Minucci, associate pastor of the parish, the office of Father Confessor. His Eminence congratulated him on his ministry to the parish and encouraged him to continue welcoming the youth into the loving embrace of the Church.
