Recharge. Reconnect. Retreat.

On the weekend of February 17th-20th the Metropolis of Boston Camp was welcomed to its home at the Saint Methodios Faith and Heritage Center to hold it’s annual GOYA Winter Camp Program by picture perfect weather and enthusiastic Staff. The MBC Staff members welcomed with open arms over 100 campers from throughout the Metropolis and abroad. The theme of the weekend built on our catchphrase form the fall, “Recharge, Reconnect, Retreat” . This weekend it was expanded by our beloved and committed clergy and connected back to the petitions so many of us are familiar with from the liturgical services. “Let us commit ourselves, and one another, and our whole life, unto Christ our God”.

Our Campers enjoyed fun packed, song and dance filled weekend, with a ski-trip , that managed to once again offer them the opportunity to retreat to our beloved campground. To be surrounded by their extended family of brothers, sisters, and mentors in Christ, and to depart for their homes once again enlivened and strengthened by the knowledge that Camp is a life changing experience because it is one of the few places where we remind ourselves just how much we miss God in our day to day existence

The MBC Program was blessed to have a team of over 40 young adults serve on its staff for GOYA Winter Camp, it would be impossible to run the program without the hard work of the young adults of our Metropolis, who dedicate 100% of their love and energy to provide our youth with a safe, fun-filled, faith centered experience.
