Archbishop Elpidophoros Visits The Philoxenia House

On Sunday, September 15, 2019 before starting the trip back to the Archdiocesan headquarters in New York Archbishop Elpidophoros, together with Metropolitan Methodios visited the Philoxenia House of the Metropolis of Boston. There they were able to spend time with families who currently reside at the home. The residents of the home shared with the Archbishop their love and gratitude to the Metropolis of Boston for providing them with a place to call home while they find themselves in Boston for medical treatments.

The patients shared with the Archbishop the hardships they face in regards to their health and treatments. He in turn offered words of comfort and encouragement, highlighting that we should always look to the Cross of Christ and draw strength from it – and gifted them all a small cross for them to wear around their neck.
