From Friday, February 14 – Monday, February 17, 2020 the Metropolis of Boston Camp held its annual GOYA Winter Camp. The over 200 campers and staff were able to have a weekend retreat surrounded by the picturesque winter landscape on New Hampshire. The leadership team and lead by camp director Fr. Dionysios together will all the incredibly dedicated young adults of the staff team crafted a weekend that was filled with fun, faith and fellowship. The weekend included winter activities, faith and cultural sessions, camp-wide activities, and cabin sessions.

The weekend’s main theme revolved around the parable of the Prodigal son – highlighting how God’s love for never fades no matter how far we think we have strayed. Fr. Demetri Costarakis, of St. Nicholas in Lexington was present leading the camp in Orthodox Life Sessions and Worship. On Sunday, after the Divine Liturgy the camp took its annual outing to Pat’s Peak Ski Resort. Campers and staff were able to enjoy an afternoon of skiing, snowboarding, tubing, and fun in the lodge!
