Metropolis Youth Basketball League Toy Drive Was a Huge Success

Hundreds of toys were donated this year by coaches, players, and families of the Metropolis Youth Basketball League. Despite the league's postponement, dozens of individuals from the participating parishes throughout New England rallied together to support the New England Community Services, Inc. organization. Beloved, long-time MYBL referee Anthony "Amp" Pitts requested the league's assistance this year and was pleasantly surprised by the number of toys that were gathered. Pitts commented that the number of children who would be receiving gifts from the basketball league this year outnumbers years prior as cars of toys were delivered on behalf of the parishes' basketball teams.
