Youth and Young Adult Sports Ministry
The Metropolis currently has a greater-Boston GOYA, JOY, and YAL basketball leagues that takes place at Hellenic College. The purpose of the leagues is to bring Orthodox Christian athletes closer to Christ by providing a mature, safe, moral, and sportsmanlike environment in which a healthy level of athletic competition can be enjoyed. This year we have had a tremendous turnout from the parishes.
- Boys G.O.Y.A Basketball League: Consists of ten teams with
over 130 boys who play every Sunday between 1:00pm and 6:00pm.

over 40 girls who play every other Sunday between 6:00 and 8:00pm.
[ NEW!! 2007-08 Schedule | Game Stats | Team Standings ] - JOY Boys and Girls Basketball League: Consists of over 75
children between the ages of 9-13 who play every Saturday from 2:00pm
and 6:00pm.

- Metropolitan Methodios Basketball Invitational: This basketball tournament has teams participating from across the Metropolis. It is a great way to have children who live quite some distance away from the Metropolis come together and enjoy Orthodox Christian Fellowship.
- YAL Men's Basketball League: Consists of sixteen teams
in two divisions from various Parishes of the Metropolis with over
150 young adult participants. The games are played every Monday, Wednesday,
and Thursday between 7:00pm and 11:00pm.

Various teams from the greater Boston area will enjoy a healthy level of competition, but more importantly they will have the opportunity to enjoy fellowship with other Orthodox Christians.
