Monday, August 03, 2026

On Saturday, August 1, 2026, Metropolitan Methodios ordained Andrew Constantinou to the Holy Diaconate during the celebration of the Divine Liturgy at St. Vasilios Greek Orthodox Church in Peabody, Massachusetts.

The ordination brought together clergy from throughout the Metropolis of Boston, as well as clergy from other Metropolises of the Archdiocese. Family members, parishioners, friends, and faithful from throughout the Metropolis and beyond gathered to witness this sacred and joyous occasion in the life of the Church, offering their prayers and support as Deacon Andrew began his ordained ministry in service to Christ and His Holy Church.

In his homily, His Eminence reflected on the ministry of the diaconate, emphasizing that the office of the deacon is one of faithful and humble service to the Church. He encouraged Deacon Andrew to cultivate a sincere love for God and to follow the example of his mentors, the Rev. Fr. Dean Paleologos and the Rev. Fr. Christopher Foustoukos, whose guidance, faithful ministry, and personal example have helped shape his path to the Holy Diaconate. His Eminence also reminded Deacon Andrew, as a graduate of Hellenic College Holy Cross, to remember with gratitude and appreciation the institution that contributed to his theological and spiritual formation, and to remain mindful of the responsibility that accompanies that foundation as he begins his ordained ministry.
