On Sunday, September 13, 2026, His Eminence Metropolitan Methodios ordained the Rev. Deacon Andrew Constantinou to the Holy Priesthood during the celebration of the Divine Liturgy at St. Vasilios church in Peabody, Massachusetts. The ordination was attended by members of the clergy, parishioners, family members, and friends, including the Rev. Fr. Anthony Tandilyan parish priest and the Rev. Fr. Christopher Foustoukos.
In his address to Fr. Andrew, His Eminence spoke about the responsibilities and demands of the priesthood. He reminded him that, although he was being ordained a priest, he must remain a deacon at heart—a servant of Christ and His Church. He emphasized that the priestly ministry requires dedication, humility, discipline, and faithful service, both at the altar and in the daily pastoral life of the parish.
His Eminence also referred to Fr. Andrew’s namesake, St. Andrew the First-Called Apostle, the patron saint of the Ecumenical Patriarchate. He spoke of the important role of the Ecumenical Patriarchate in the life of the Orthodox Church and of the leadership and ministry of His All-Holiness Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew. Fr. Andrew was encouraged to look to the example of St. Andrew as he undertakes his own ministry and assumes the responsibilities entrusted to him by the Church.
Following the Divine Liturgy, His Eminence formally installed the Rev. Fr. Anthony Tandilyan as parish priest of St. Vasilios Church. The installation marked the beginning of Fr. Anthony’s pastoral leadership of the parish and his service to its faithful.
His Eminence also bestowed upon the Rev. Fr. Christopher Foustoukos the title of Pastor Emeritus. Fr. Christopher served the St. Vasilios community for nineteen years and is retiring from full-time parish ministry. In recognition of his years of service, His Eminence acknowledged Fr. Christopher’s pastoral leadership and contribution to the life of the parish.
Following the Divine Liturgy, a reception was held in honor of Fr. Christopher Foustoukos.
