Orthodox Christian Fellowship
The Metropolis works with nine seminarians of the Holy CrossFields Education Program who are currently assisting andestablishing OCF chapters at universities all over New England. Each school has its own student organized OCF group that meetsweekly. Seminarians are assigned to each school to lead and participate in weekly discussions and to offer their time and knowledge to the students who attend each meeting looking to learn more about our beautiful faith. There are local clergy who serve as OCF chaplains offering periodic services on campus.Seminarians this year are assigned to the OCF chapters of Boston College, Boston University, Northeastern, Tufts, Brandeis College and Regis College.
This spring semester of 2012, there will be weekly meetingonce again as well as a spring retreat to encourage college students to want to learn more about our beautiful faith. The Metropolis of Boston OCF will also be working with the national OCF Office which has relocated to the campus of Hellenic College Holy Cross Greek Orthodox School of Theology. With this collaboration of events and communication among theseminarians, the Metropolis of Boston, and the National OCF Office, we will make a giant leap forward towards helping the local colleges in their spiritual journey in our Lord God and Savior Jesus Christ and build relationships within this beautiful ministry. For more information regarding this ministry, please contact our Metropolis Youth and Young Adult Office and visit the national OCF website at www.ocf.net.
