A joint meeting of the Metropolis Council and Faith and Heritage Committee proved to be motivational as well as inspirational.

Metropolitan Methodios and two large appreciative audiences from the Greek Orthodox Community of New England and the community-at-large were inspired and enthused during two performances of Rachmaninoff’s The Liturgy of St. John Chrysostom

From February 9-11 the Metropolis hosted the 13th annual Joy Winter Camp at the St. Methodios Faith and Heritage Center in Contoocook, New Hampshire.

“The Age of Philoptochos” – a Tribute to Women was the theme for the Metropolis of Boston Philoptochos charities benefit luncheon which was held on November 5, 2006 at the Newton Marriott, Newton Massachusetts.

His Eminence Metropolitan Methodios was the homelist at the Ecumenical Celebration of the Word during the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity, held at the St. John Chrysostom Roman Catholic Church in West Roxbury, MA on January 24, 2007.

The celebrated Rachmaninoff Festival Chorus, one of Maine’s largest and best known choral groups, will perform Rachmaninoff's Liturgy of St. John Chrysostom ,at the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Cathedral in Boston, MA on Saturday, March 10, 2007, 7:30 p.m. and on Sunday, March 11 at 3:00 p.m.

Pope Benedict XVI went to the Ecumenical Patriarchate of Constantinople as a “pilgrim,” Cardinal Sean O’Malley, the Roman Catholic Archbishop of Boston, said in the National Herald’s first ever complete interview with a Roman Catholic cardinal.

I am happy to officially announce that His Eminence Cardinal Sean O’Malley and I will lead an Ecumenical Pilgrimage to Rome and Constantinople from September 16-23, 2007 with an optional excursion to St. Petersburg, Russia from September 23-26, 2007.

His Eminence Metropolitan Methodios welcomed clergy from across the Metropolis to the monthly meeting held in Brookline, MA.
