DURING PASTORAL VISIT TO DOVER, NH METROOLITAN METHODIOS CONGRATULATES COMMUNITY HONOREES

His Eminence Metropolitan Methodios presided at the Hierarchical Liturgy at the Annunciation Church in Dover, NH on November 2 and during a Recognition Banquet which followed the Liturgy congratulated parishioners who were chosen by the community to be especially thanked for their exemplary stewardship to their beloved Parish.  His Eminence tonsured three Alatr Boys---Michael W. Frudakis, Devin Cahil, Liam Cahil, Robert Dailey, and Robert P. Mitropoulos.  Honored at the Banquet were: Kiki Demopoulos, George Papadopoulos, Yota Scontras. Costas Strangas, Vivian Tsimekles and Mary Theodore.  According to Nicholas Blougouras, the Recognition Banquet Chairman, “These people have embraced the church and have consistently served its needs.  Their service oftentimes goes unnoticed, but its lack would be quite obvious had they not served.  We are grateful for their character, and their example.”

Metropolitan Methodios also thanked the honorees and all the stewards of the community who together with their Priest, Fr. Costin Popescu, work faithful and tirelessly for the Parish.

The Annunciation Parish celebrated its centennial in 2006.  For 40 years of its history it was served by Father Arthur Athans, the longest serving Priest of the community.  A Dover resident, Father Arthur and Presbyetera Keta worshipped with Metropolitan Methodios and the faithful stewards of the community on November 2.
