HOLY APOSTLES PARISH CELEBRATES CENTENNIAL

His Eminence Metropolian Methodios joined the Parishioners of the Holy Apostles Saints Peter and Paul Community in Haverhill, MA who this month are celebrating the 100th Anniversary of the Parish.  On Sunday, November 9 Metropolitan Methodios presided at a Hierarchical Divine Liturgy with members of the New England Federation of Church Musicians who held a conference at the Haverhill Parish.  Metropolitan Methodios was assisted by the Pastor of the Community, the Very Rev. Makarios Niakaros and Deacon Jason Roll.

On Saturday, November 15 the Metropolitan joined parishioners at the Grand Banquet at the Wyndham Hotel and Resort in Andover, MA.  Mary Papoutsy was the Master of Ceremonies at the Banquet music for which was provided by The Hellenic and near Eastern Musical Society Orchestra conducted by Christos Pappoutsy and Fred Elias. 

The historic Holy Apostles Parish held the first Divine Liturgy on Palm Sunday, April 6, 1908 in a small Episcopal church in town.
