Families Enjoyed Weekend Retreat at Faith & Heritage Center

The St. Methodios Faith & Heritage Center in Contoocook, NH hosted a well attended family retreat this past weekend.  Clergy and Laity, children and adults from the parishes of Portsmouth and Dover, NH, and Lewiston and Saco, ME,   enjoyed worshipping together in the rustic St. George Chapel on the grounds of the Center, and participated in the various presentations held in the Retreat House.  Fr. George D. Drags, the Pastor at the St. John Church in Boston, was the guest speaker.  His topics were on the upcoming Great Feast of Christmas.  The Reverend Fathers Ted Toppses of the Holy Trinity Church Lewiston, Maine, Robert Archon of the St. Nicholas Church in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, and Costin Popescu of the Annunciation Church in Dover, New Hampshire were among those attending.  Parents and children reported that the experience was uplifting and memorable.  They not only look forward to attending similar events in the near future, they also encourage others to participate.
