Metropolis of Boston Hosts the July Meeting of the Archdiocese Finance Team

Over 30 representatives from across the Archdiocese met in Brookline at the Metropolis of Boston for their regular July meeting, during which the GOA 2020 Total Commitment Allocation was determined for each Metropolis.
Other issues on the agenda for the GOA Finance Committee included:  Review of the 2018 GOA audit report and financial statements; The St. Nicholas Church and National Shrine Status; Long Term Financial Goals and Goal Monitoring; HCHC Grant Status; GOA Ministries Survey; and finally the GOA 2020 Budget Process and the 2020 Total Commitment Budget.   Each Metropolis was represented and there was healthy discussion on each topic.  On Monday evening, His Eminence Metropolitan Methodios led those in attendance on a tour of the campus of Hellenic College Holy Cross and offered a Trisagion Memorial Prayer at the grave sites of Archbishop Iakovos, Metropolitan Silas and Bishop Gerasimos, on the grounds of the Seminary behind the Chapel of the Holy Cross.  The next meeting of the GOA Finance Committee will be in Denver, CO in September.
