REMEMBERING OUR VETERANS – EVERY DAY!

OPERATION HOUSEWARMING BASKETS

F O R

H O M E L E S S   V E T E R AN S

The Greek Orthodox Metropolis of Boston Philoptochos, with the overwhelming support and generosity of all Philoptochos chapters and parish communities at large, to date, have provided more than 1000 “Housewarming Baskets” to veterans transitioning to independent living. Because veterans’ needs are continuous, this is an important and on-going ministry. The program now includes homeless women veterans with children.

The items listed on the “Wish List” (reverse side) represent the needs as identified by the homeless veterans in order to establish their home in the community.

Items collected by your chapter/parish should be delivered to the Metropolis (162 Goddard Ave., Brookline Ma. 02445-7414) for distribution to the veterans through the Veterans Administration (VA). Chapters located at a distance from the Metropolis are provided with a VA facility contact listing to facilitate the process.

NOTE:  Monetary contributions or gift cards to home goods stores and/or grocery stores are welcome.  The Metropolis Philoptochos will use the funds to purchase items from the “Wish List”.  Checks should be made payable to:  Metropolis of Boston Philoptochos

Thank you for your continued support and generosity
