Metropolitan Methodios Offers Prayer Service For Health and Well-Being During The COVID-19 Pandemic

On Tuesday, May 5, 2020, His Eminence Metropolitan Methodios offered a prayer service at the St. Demetrios Church in Weston, MA for health and well-being during the COVID-19 pandemic. Praying with him were the pastors of the St. Demetrios community Fr. Nicholas Krommydas and Fr. Vincent Minucci, as well as Archdeacon Dionysios Papiris. The service was broadcast on all the social media outlets of our Archdiocese. At the conclusion of the service His Eminence offered these words to the faithful who joined in prayer online:

"Beloved brothers and sisters in the household of God,

In addition to beloved brethren whose names we commemorated we offered prayers of supplication for our Doctors, Nurses, First Responders, Scientists, and Researchers throughout the United States and the entire world who are on the front line of humanities battle against the Coronavirus. May the unwaning light of the Risen Lord radiate in their hearts, inspiring them to find a cure. And may the Risen Lord give eternal rest to our brethren whose lives were lost as a result of the virus. May their memory be eternal! Χριστὀς Ανέστη!"
