Christmas Greeting From His Eminence Metropolitan Methodios of Boston

Christmas is not a mere anniversary of the birth of our Savior, but the celebration of a mystery that has marked and continues to mark the history of mankind. God Himself came to dwell among us (John 1,14). He made Himself one of us. Our beautiful liturgical hymns stress

  • That our Savior is born TODAY.
  • That His birth reaches beyond the limits of time.
  • That the celebration of Christmas renews our certainty that the Eternal God is truly present TODAY.

He becomes man in order to accompany us along life’s journey. He comes to ask us to receive Him, so He can be born in our hearts and transform them by the power of His love.

May He choose our hearts as His manger this Christmas to bring us His joy, peace and every Heavenly gift.

With love in the Incarnate Lord,

M E T H O D I O S

Metropolitan of Boston
