Weston Parish Hosts Parish Ministry Development Seminar

On Thursday, April 15, 2010, the Saint Demetrios Parish hosted the second in a series of nine District Parish Ministry Team Development Seminars that is currently being offered by the Metropolis of Boston.  After a light meal, Father Luke Veronis began the evening with his inspiring presentation entitled, “Building Up the Body of Christ on the Parish Level.”   Later over one hundred ministry leaders gathered according to their particular ministry where they discussed their thoughts, concerns and resources.  They began to realize the ways in which they could help each other.  As a result, many seminars exchanged contact information and have subsequently scheduled follow-up meetings to continue their dialogue.  Workshops covered Stewardship, Youth Ministry, Special Needs, OCF and Young Adults, Internet Ministry and Philanthropic Ministry.  The next District Parish Ministry Team Developmental Seminar will be held in District One during the month of May.
