26th Annual Ministry Awards Banquet

On June 10, 2012 the parishes of the Metropolis of Boston joined His Eminence Metropolitan Methodios for the 26th annual Metropolis Ministry Awards Dinner, held at Lombardo's Function Facility in Randolph, MA. Over 740 parishioners throughout New England were in attendance. The theme for the Banquet this year was, "Remembering our most holy, pure, blessed and glorious Lady, the Theotokos, and ever Virgin Mary... Let us commit ourselves and one another, and our whole life to Christ our God."

Eleni Vidalis, host of The Greek Program, was the Master of Ceremonies for the event.

Greetings were given by Philippa Condakes, President of the Metropolis Philoptochos Board, The Rev. Fr. Dean Panagos, President of the New England Clergy Brotherhood, The Honorable Theodore L. Gatsas, Mayor of Manchester, New Hampshire, and The Honorable Ilias Fotopoulos, Consul General of Greece in Boston.

Special guest speaker, 10 year old Ioannis Kechriotis was the Greek afternoon school essay designee and spoke proudly of March 25, Greek Independence Day.

The evening concluded with the awards ceremony, where faithful individuals received their award by Metropolitan Methodios. He thanked them for their selfless time and talent they give to their church.
