Operation Classroom: Cathedral Philoptochos Donates to The Dimock Center

 

The Ladies Philoptochos Society of the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Cathedral of New England (Chapter #3014) recently participated in Operation Classroom by hosting a school supplies drive to benefit The Dimock Center’s Child & Family Program in Boston. The program supports approximately 200 children, ages 15 months to 5 years, through its early childcare/preschool and Head Start programs.

Donations included baby wipes, diaper cream, crayons, scissors, glue sticks, playdough, stacking cups, pencils, and markers. In addition, board members purchased new books from a teacher-recommended list. These contributions were delivered in August and early September by Kally and Christina and were warmly received, especially during a time when funding for early intervention and Head Start programs remains uncertain and the need for community support continues to grow.
