A Family in Our Metropolis is in Need of Our Support

The Greek Orthodox Metropolis of Boston humbly asks for your prayers and support for a beloved family within our Metropolis community who recently experienced a devastating tragedy. On May 4th, a sudden house fire destroyed the family’s home of nearly seven years. What began in the garage quickly spread due to strong winds and dry conditions, causing catastrophic damage throughout the residence and leaving the home uninhabitable. The Greek Orthodox Metropolis of Boston is pleased to offer 2026-2027 academic year scholarship opportunities for U.S. and Canadian students who are of Greek descent or of the Greek Orthodox Faith and entering their second, third, or fourth year of undergraduate studies. The annual scholarships are provided by endowments generously gifted by the Charles C. Condes Trust of Illinois (five, one-time scholarships of $8,000 each) and the St. George’s Hellenic Benefit Society of Tsamantas of Worcester, MA (three, one-time scholarships of $7,500 each).
