Metropolitan Methodios Offered Greetings to Cardinal Sean O'Malley and the Catholic Archdiocese of Boston during the Chrism Mass celebrated at the Holy Cross Cathedral

Your Eminence dear brother and respected friend Cardinal Sean,

Thank you for the honor and privilege to attend today’s Chrism Mass during which, surrounded by your brother bishops and priests, you will bless the holy oils used in the sacraments celebrated in the parishes of your Archdiocese.

The Chrism Mass is one of the principle expressions of the fullness of your priesthood Cardinal Sean, and signifies the closeness of the priests of the Archdiocese with you. Today they renew their priesthood and dedication to the Risen Lord and His Holy Church.

I pray that the radiant Light of our Lord’s Resurrection shine in every community of your Archdiocese. May it illumine the entire world which has been darkened by sin and the spiritual pandemic of indifference. Your Eminence, the entire Christian community of New England thanks the Risen Lord for your exemplary leadership. May He continue to inspire your Archpriesthood. Enjoy a blessed Holy Week and a Happy Easter.
