Orthodoxy on Tap - February 2022 - TSIKNOPEMPTI

On Thursday, February 22, over 80 young adults gathered for the Metropolis of Boston's Orthodoxy on Tap - TSIKNOPEMPTI (BBQ Thursday). After an address from Fr. Athanasios Nenes of the Taxiarchae (Archangels) Church in Watertown, MA on fasting and Lent, participants feasted upon Greek classics such as gyros, souvlakia, loucanica, biftekia, and more. As the community of pan-Orthodox young adults finished their meals, a few enthusiastic participants turned up the music and encouraged the group to dance traditional Greek dances with them. Alexi Iliadis and his staff at the Farm Grill in Newton, MA were gracious hosts of the evening, leaving the group waiting for the next gathering.
