March 24th Celebrations in Brockton, MA

On Friday, March 24th, His Eminence Metropolitan Methodios participated in the Greek Independence Day Celebration at the Brockton City Hall along with Mr. Symeon Tegos, Counsul General of Greece; Fr. Romanos Karanos, parish priest of the Annunciation Church in Brockton; Nicholas Babanikas, Parish Council President; and Vasilios Kafkas, President of the Federation of Hellenic American Societies of New England.   The celebration included a presentation of the City Proclamation by Brockton Mayor Robert Sullivan and a Greek dance performance by the Paradosi Dance Group.  In the evening, His Eminence celebrated the Great Vespers on the Eve of the Annunciation and Salutations to the Theotokos at the parish in Brockton with Fr. Karanos and Fr. John Kiramarios, pastor emeritus, followed by fellowship with the parishioners.
