Metropolis Youth Basketball League 2022-2023 Season Banquet

On Sunday, March 12th, 2023, the Metropolis of Boston Youth Basketball League (MYBL) celebrated its season's end with its annual Banquet. Hosted by St. Catherine's Church in Braintree, MA, over 250 attendees came to honor the hard work, dedication, and commitment of the players and coaches that make up the league. Many awards were presented in addition to honoring the JOY (St. Demetrios, Weston), GOYA Girls (St. Vasilios, Peabody), and GOYA Boys (St. Nectarios, Roslindale) champions! To offer their testimonies, high school seniors Oceana Broome (St. Demetrios, Weston) and Harrison Georgiadis (Taxiarchae, Watertown) shared remarks prior to the presentation of the awards. To conclude the banquet, His Eminence Metropolitan Methodios, addressed the players, coaches, and parents encouraging them to continue striving to listen to God's will by creating spaces of silence every day. His Eminence also thanked the clergy, coaches, and staff who make the league possible!
