Pastoral Visit- Annunciation Church, Woburn, MA

On March 26, the Fourth Sunday of Great Lent. His Eminence Metropolitan Methodios was welcomed to the Annunciation Parish in Woburn with open arms. At the conclusion to the Divine Liturgy, His Eminence tonsured four acolytes. The Metropolitan encouraged the Altar Boys and the community, especially the youth, to “go off to a corner and take the Bible and read.” Moreover, Metropolitan Methodios encouraged the attendees to serve as modern evangelists to the world daily. The community also celebrated its custom of recognizing faithful stewards for their commitment and dedication to their parish. In recognition of her tireless service, Ms. Angie Stamos was awarded the 2023 Archbishop Makarios Lifetime Achievement Award. Lastly, as part of the celebration of Greek Independence Day, the parish's children recited and sang traditional Greek songs and poems.
