Boston, MA — June 14, 2025
On Saturday, June 14, clergy and faithful from across the Metropolis of Boston gathered at the Annunciation Cathedral to celebrate the Feast Day of St. Methodios, the patron saint of Metropolitan Methodios.
The celebration was made even more special as Metropolitan Methodios ordained Deacon Andrew Bushell to the Holy Priesthood. Father Andrew, who served as a deacon over the past year, was surrounded by his wife, Presbytera Demitra, their families, and a congregation filled with friends, clergy, and parishioners who came to witness this sacred moment.
In his remarks, Metropolitan Methodios offered heartfelt congratulations to the newly ordained Fr. Andrew and Presbytera Demitra, recognizing their dedication and the journey that brought them to this day. He reminded all present of the significance of priestly service, calling it “a life of sacrificial love and unwavering commitment to Christ and His Church.”
As the service concluded, attendees offered their personal congratulations and warm wishes to Fr. Andrew, many reflecting on the joy of witnessing such a meaningful event on the feast day of Metropolitan Methodios.
Following the service, everyone in attendance joined together for a festive reception hosted by the Metropolis of Boston. The gathering provided an opportunity for fellowship, celebration, and heartfelt congratulations as the community marked both the Feast Day of St. Methodios and the joyful beginning of Fr. Andrew’s priestly ministry.
