Metropolis of Boston Camp – Fall Camp 2025
Tuesday, October 14, 2025
Over Columbus Day weekend, October 11–13, the Metropolis of Boston Camp (MBC) hosted its annual Fall Camp, welcoming nearly 140 campers and dozens of dedicated staff members for a weekend filled with faith, friendship, and fall fun. The enthusiasm surrounding the program was remarkable—even with nearly 200 people on site, many campers and staff remained on the waitlist, a powerful reflection of the camp’s continued growth and impact.
This year’s Fall Camp centered on the summer theme, “Everyday Saints,” reminding participants that the saints were ordinary people who lived extraordinary lives of love, faith, and service—and that we, too, are called each day to become saints in our own way. Through engaging discussions, worship, and activities, campers explored what it means to live their faith authentically in daily life.
The weekend featured two exciting field trips that celebrated the beauty of New England in the fall. Campers visited Gould Hill Farm, where they enjoyed apple picking, fresh cider, and homemade donuts, and later traveled to Beech Hill Farm for lunch, ice cream, a petting zoo, and a corn maze adventure. These outings fostered community, laughter, and gratitude for God’s creation—all hallmarks of the MBC experience.
A highlight of the weekend was the two-day visit of His Eminence Metropolitan Methodios, who led the camp’s divine services and spent time with campers and staff. His Eminence expressed his joy at witnessing a chapel filled to capacity and a camp ministry flourishing with life, faith, and fellowship. His words and presence deeply inspired all in attendance.
As Fall Camp concluded, participants returned home renewed in faith and friendship—reminded that holiness is not reserved for a few, but a calling for everyone, every day. The Metropolis of Boston Camp continues to thrive as a vibrant ministry where young people encounter Christ, grow in their Orthodox faith, and form lifelong connections in a community rooted in love and service.
