Metropolis of Boston Camp Welcomes Hundreds of Youth in Its 36th Year
Thursday, July 03, 2025Contoocook, NH – The Metropolis of Boston Camp (MBC) launched its 36th year of ministry with two vibrant and faith-filled weeks, welcoming 140 campers during the first week and another 120 in the second. MBC continues to be a cornerstone of spiritual growth, fellowship, and fun for Orthodox youth across New England.
This summer, MBC is expected to host over 600 campers and 115 dedicated staff members across its five one-week sessions. Each week provides a unique opportunity for young people to deepen their faith, build lifelong friendships, and experience the joy of Orthodox Christian community through prayer, discussion, and joyful activities.
Under the direction of Panos Coufos, the camp operates with a clear focus on Orthodox formation and hospitality, supported by a team of committed clergy, staff, and volunteers.
Metropolitan Methodios joined the camp on Sunday during the first session, celebrating the Divine Liturgy with the entire camp community. His presence was a powerful reminder of the spiritual foundation upon which MBC is built and a source of inspiration for both campers and staff.
As the second session draws to a close, campers and staff prepare to celebrate Independence Day with a festive Fourth of July celebration—complete with music, games, and patriotic cheer.
As MBC continues through the next three weeks of its summer program, we pray for all campers, staff, alumni, and administrators—asking the Lord to bless and protect them as they continue this sacred ministry of faith, fellowship, and formation.
