Metropolitan Methodios Celebrates Feast of Sts. Kosmas and Damianos at Sts. Anargyroi Church in Marlborough, MA
Monday, November 03, 2025
Metropolitan Methodios of Boston presided over the Divine Liturgy for the Feast of the Holy Unmercenary Saints, Sts. Kosmas and Damianos, at the Sts. Anargyroi Greek Orthodox Church in Marlborough, MA. The liturgy was concelebrated with the parish priest, Rev. Fr. Greg Christakos, along with several clergy from throughout the Metropolis of Boston who gathered to honor these beloved saints and to celebrate the parish community.
The day was made especially meaningful by the ordination of Vasilios Panagopoulos to the Holy Diaconate. Surrounded by his wife, Moriah, and their two children, Deacon Vasili was ordained through the laying on of hands by Metropolitan Methodios. The ordination marked the beginning of Deacon Vasili’s ministry in the Church, where he will serve faithfully within the Metropolis of Boston.
Deacon Vasili is set to graduate from Hellenic College Holy Cross Greek Orthodox School of Theology this coming spring, continuing his preparation for a lifetime of service to Christ and His Church. The faithful of Sts. Anargyroi Church, together with visiting clergy and family members, offered heartfelt congratulations, warm wishes, and the traditional acclamation of “Axios!”
The celebration was filled with love, gratitude, and fellowship, as parishioners and guests shared in the joy of welcoming a new servant of God. The event stood as a beautiful testament to the faith and unity of the Orthodox community in Marlborough and throughout the Metropolis of Boston.
