Metropolitan Methodios Visits St. Vasilios Church in Peabody for Joyful Celebration and Ribbon Cutting

Peabody, MA — The St. Vasilios Greek Orthodox Church community welcomed Metropolitan Methodios for a pastoral visit.  His Eminence celebrated the Divine Liturgy with Rev. Fr. Christopher Foustoukos and Rev. Fr. Ioannis Michaelides. The service was filled with prayer, reverence, and unity, reflecting the deep faith and vitality of the St. Vasilios community.

Following the liturgy, Metropolitan Methodios was warmly greeted by the parish council and the entire congregation, whose enthusiasm and hospitality were evident throughout the day. The highlight of the visit was the Ribbon Cutting Ceremony for the new Educational Center, a long-anticipated addition that will serve as a cornerstone for the parish’s religious education and community life.

In his remarks, Metropolitan Methodios expressed appreciation for Fr. Christopher Foustoukos, commending him for his years of dedicated ministry, pastoral leadership, and love for the St. Vasilios family. He also thanked Fr. Yianni Michaelides for his service to this historic parish. His Eminence also conveyed his joy at witnessing the parish’s growth and continued commitment to faith, learning, and service.

As the celebration drew to a close, hearts were filled with thanksgiving and renewed faith, marking not just the opening of a new center, but the beginning of another vibrant chapter in the sacred journey of the St. Vasilios community.
