Tuesday, June 03, 2025
Sts. Constantine and Helen Church in Webster welcomed His Eminence Metropolitan Methodios this past Sunday for a pastoral visit. His Eminence presided at the Divine Liturgy along with Fr. Luke Veronis. Metropolitan Methodios tonsured several young altar boys and bestowed blessings upon two women of the parish, recognizing them as church readers.
The parish hosted a Missions Week presentation. Several missionaries gave inspiring talks, highlighting the important work being done by the Orthodox Church around the world. The presentations were made in the presence of Metropolitan Methodios and the entire community, offering powerful testimonies of faith, service, and the global reach of Orthodox witness.
After the service and presentations, the parish gathered for a festive potluck luncheon. Parishioners prepared and shared homemade dishes from a variety of countries, reflecting the Church’s global mission and the diverse cultural backgrounds of the community. The lunch was a joyful time of fellowship, hospitality, and shared purpose.
The visit by Metropolitan Methodios was a special day for the Sts. Constantine and Helen parish—strengthening bonds of faith, encouraging continued outreach, and bringing the community together in worship and fellowship.
