The KOSMOS Project Concludes Its Journey in Boston with Faith, Fellowship, and Farewell

Monday, August 04, 2025

BOSTON, MA – The 2025 KOSMOS Project concluded its first leg in Boston on Sunday, August 3, as participants from Greece gathered to celebrate the Divine Liturgy at St. John the Baptist Church with Metropolitan Methodios, Fr. Ted Barbas, Panos Coufos and staff from the Metropolis of Boston Camp.

The liturgy was followed by coffee hour, where participants reflected on a remarkable experience filled with spiritual enrichment, new friendships, and cultural exchange. Having shared a meaningful Week 5 at the Metropolis of Boston Camp (MBC) and an unforgettable week exploring New England’s historical landmarks, the group had much to celebrate and cherish.

Later in the day, the participants reunited at the Metropolis Center, where they were once again welcomed by Metropolitan Methodios. In a heartfelt gathering, the group exchanged stories, laughter, and emotional farewells before departing for Logan Airport to begin their journey back to Greece.

Upon their return to the Metropolis of Neapolis, the participants were received by Metropolitan Barnabas. Their return marked not the end, but the continuation of the KOSMOS experience, as they now prepare to welcome and meet the American participants who have just begun the second leg of the project in Thessaloniki.

The KOSMOS Project continues to build bridges between the youth of Greece and the United States through shared faith, cultural appreciation, and meaningful connection. This journey will be remembered not only for its destinations, but for the relationships and spiritual growth it inspired across continents.
