On Thursday, August 14, the Panagia Church of the Assumption in Manchester, New Hampshire, was filled as faithful gathered to celebrate the Feast of the Dormition of the Virgin Mary. Metropolitan Methodios joined in celebrating this joyous and reverent service, together with clergy from across New Hampshire and Maine and the parish’s presiding priest, Fr. Andrew Otto.
The church, adorned in honor of the feast, overflowed with parishioners who came to honor the Theotokos and participate in one of the most significant feasts of the Orthodox Church.
“It was truly a blessing to see the entire church filled with faithful people from all walks of life, gathered to celebrate this beautiful feast,” one parishioner shared. “The sense of community and faith was inspiring.”
Metropolitan Methodios offered words of encouragement to the faithful, emphasizing the importance of devotion to the Mother of God and the need for unity within the Church. He expressed his joy at seeing so many clergy and parishioners gathered together in worship and fellowship.
The celebration concluded with warm fellowship among the faithful, reflecting the spiritual and communal strength of the Panagia Assumption parish.
