The Metropolis of Boston Philoptochos Hosts Sold-Out Evening

“Spring Into Women’s Health”

 

            With the blessing of His Eminence Metropolitan Methodios, the Metropolis of Boston Philoptochos proudly hosted "Spring Into Women’s Health," an inspiring and informative evening dedicated to women's health and wellness. The event took place to a sold-out audience of 180 guests, bringing together Philoptochos sisters, clergy, friends, and supporters from across the Metropolis.

            Moderated by Dr. Mallika Marshall, HealthWatch Anchor for CBS Boston/WBZ-TV, the evening featured a distinguished panel of Boston’s leading physicians. The panelists included Dr. Anne-Marie Anagnostopoulos, specializing in Cardiology at Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital in Boston; Dr. Ioana Popa, a Psychiatrist and Christian Spiritual Life Coach and Trainer; Dr. Irene Dimitriadis, an OBGYN and Reproductive Endocrinology specialist at Mass General Brigham Hospital in Boston; and Dr. Natalie Pauli, an Internal Medicine physician with Olive Tree Medical, Mass General Brigham. Each physician brought their expertise to the conversation, presenting on current trends and important issues in women’s health.

            Metropolitan Methodios attended the event, along with Fr. Tom Chininis and distinguished guests. His Eminence offered his blessing and Archpastoral love in support of the event and the information shared, emphasizing the significance of promoting women's health within the Orthodox Christian community.

            Jane Kourtis, President of the Philoptochos Board, led the evening’s efforts alongside event co-chairs Matina Pappas and Savina Prokopios-Davos, whose leadership and dedication helped ensure the evening’s resounding success.

            A heartfelt thank you goes out to the entire Metropolis Philoptochos Board and the event sponsors for their generosity and support. Proceeds from the event will directly benefit the Philoptochos Philanthropic Mission and the Ministries of the Metropolis of Boston, furthering the organization's mission of service, compassion, and outreach.

            This unforgettable evening marked a meaningful step forward in promoting both physical wellness and spiritual strength among women of the Orthodox community.
