Winter Camp Session I Brings Faith, Friendship, and Fun to MBC

Monday, January 19, 2026

From January 16–18, the Metropolis of Boston Camp (MBC) hosted the first of its two winter camp sessions, welcoming just over 100 young people. Due to its growing popularity, MBC continues to explore ways to increase capacity by expanding the number of sessions offered to staff and campers. Throughout the weekend, campers reconnected with their faith and with one another, learning about the lives of Saint Anthony and Saint Athanasios as sources of inspiration and encouragement for their own spiritual journeys.

Campers were particularly excited about the two field trips offered during the session. The decades-long tradition of skiing at Pat’s Peak gave campers the opportunity to ski, snowboard, or snow tube. A tour of Contoocook included several memorable stops, such as the Hopkinton Fire Department, Houston Dairy Farm, a maple syrup sugar house, and an ice-skating excursion. The day concluded with an evening dance in Pat’s Peak’s Sleigh Room, overlooking the beautiful, snow-covered mountain.

Upon departure, campers highlighted the joy and spiritual strength they gained from participating in the Divine Liturgy, during which dozens of campers came together to form a beautiful choir.

MBC looks forward to welcoming more than 200 staff and campers at its February winter camp session in just a few weeks. Be sure to mark your calendars—registration for MBC’s Summer Camp opens on March 1 at 7:00 p.m. at metropolisofbostoncamp.org.
