Metropolitan Methodios Celebrates First Feast of the Wisdom of God at St. Sophia Church in New London

On Tuesday, May 5, Metropolitan Methodios visited St. Sophia Hellenic Orthodox Church for the parish’s first celebration of the Feast Day of the Wisdom of God. Metropolitan Methodios presided over Great Vespers alongside the parish priest, Fr. Peter Kostakis, and local clergy brethren who joined the community for this special occasion. During the service, Metropolitan Methodios tonsured several altar servers, recognizing their dedication and service to the Church.

Following Great Vespers, His Eminence joined the parish community for a festive meal and fellowship gathering with parishioners and members of the extended Metropolis family. Metropolitan Methodios expressed his gratitude for the warm hospitality shown by the faithful of New London and shared that it was a blessing to be together for such a beautiful celebration.
