Metropolitan Methodios Celebrates Holy Saturday at St. Catherine Church in Braintree

On Holy Saturday morning, Metropolitan Methodios celebrated the Vesperal Divine Liturgy of St. Basil the Great at St. Catherine Greek Orthodox Church in Braintree, MA. This sacred service, rich in both solemnity and anticipation, marks the transition from the sorrow of the Passion to the joy of the Resurrection, as the faithful gather to witness the first proclamation of Christ’s victory over death.

It is a cherished annual tradition for His Eminence to celebrate this service at St. Catherine’s, and once again he was uplifted by the presence of the devoted parishioners and their beloved priest, Fr. Theodore Toppses. With prayerful hearts, the community came together in unity and faith, preparing to receive the light of Pascha and to proclaim with one voice the Resurrection of our Lord.
