Metropolitan Methodios Celebrates March 25th at Holy Trinity Church in Lowell

Metropolitan Methodios joined the faithful of Holy Trinity Church in Lowell for a joyful celebration of the Feast of the Annunciation and Greek Independence Day on March 25th. The day began with the Doxology, bringing together parishioners, families, and students from the Hellenic Academy of Lowell in prayer for this dual celebration of faith and heritage.

Following the service, the students of the Hellenic Academy presented a beautiful school program in the church, presenting poems, songs, and reflections that honored both the spiritual significance of the Annunciation and the historical importance of Greek Independence. Their heartfelt performances filled the church with pride and inspiration, recognizing the connection between Orthodox faith and Hellenic identity.

The Metropolitan encouraged the faithful, especially the young people, to follow the example of the Virgin Mary as they journey through Great Lent, preparing their hearts to receive the light of Christ at His Resurrection. Metropolitan Methodios also reminded the children that they are the future of Orthodoxy, offering words of encouragement as they continue to grow in faith and love for the Church.

As he looked out into the congregation that is a present day annunciation.  The good news of the Hellenic Academy which embraces our children and passes onto them out priceless Greek Orthodox Heritage.

His Eminence expressed his sincere gratitude to Maria Bouras and all the teachers and parents of the Hellenic Academy for their dedication, as well as to the parish priest, Fr. Nikolaos Pelekoudas, for his faithful leadership and warm hospitality in hosting this meaningful celebration. Metropolitan Methodios also thanked the beloved Consul General of Greece in Boston, Symeon Tegos, for joining the celebration. His Eminence invited him to address the congregation where he congratulated the children and the community for hosting the memorable festivities.
