Metropolitan Methodios Presides at Holy Thursday Services in Roslindale and Lynn

On Holy Thursday morning, Metropolitan Methodios presided at the Vesperal Divine Liturgy of St. Basil the Great at St. Nectarios Church with Fr. Alexander Pretorian. The faithful gathered in prayerful reverence to commemorate the Mystical Supper, reflecting on the institution of the Holy Eucharist and Christ’s offering of Himself for the life of the world. In his brief pastoral remarks, His Eminence called the faithful to approach these sacred days with humility, gratitude, and a renewed commitment to live a life rooted in Christ.

That evening, Metropolitan Methodios presided at the Orthros of Holy Friday, featuring the reading of the Twelve Passion Gospels, at St. George Church with presiding Fr. Alex Orphanos. All in attendance stood in quiet devotion as the Gospel accounts of Christ’s Passion were proclaimed, guiding all into deeper reflection on His sacrifice. His Eminence encouraged the faithful to remain spiritually attentive, embracing the sacred journey of Holy Week with prayer and steadfast faith as they prepare to encounter the light of the Resurrection.
