Tuesday, April 07, 2026

On Holy Tuesday evening, Metropolitan Methodios presided over the Bridegroom Service at Taxiarchae Church in Watertown, MA. The faithful gathered in prayerful reverence as we continue the sacred journey through Holy Week, calling all to watchfulness, repentance, and spiritual renewal. His Eminence was joined in concelebration by Fr. Athanasios Nenes, presiding priest of the church.

In his homily, Metropolitan Methodios offered a powerful reflection, asking the faithful to examine their hearts: will we be like Judas, who betrayed Christ, or like the sinful woman, who fell at His feet in repentance and love? He reminded all present that Holy Week is a time of decision and transformation—a moment to return to Christ with humility and sincerity. The beautiful chanting of the Hymn of Kassiani filled the church, stirring hearts and inviting all to embrace repentance. His Eminence concluded by urging the faithful to remain spiritually vigilant, for we do not know the hour when Christ will return, calling each of us to be prepared with faith, love, and a repentant spirit.
