On Sunday, October 20th, the St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox community in Saco, Maine, gathered for a momentous occasion as they marked the 25th anniversary of their church’s relocation to its current home. The day was made even more special by the visit of Metropolitan Methodios, who presided over the celebrations. The Metropolis of Boston Camp (MBC) hosted its annual Fall Camp program this past weekend from Saturday, October 12 to Monday, October 14 at the St. Methodios Faith & Heritage Center Contoocook, NH. With over 200 campers and young adult staff, the program was the largest Fall Camp in MBC history. ΒΟΣΤΩΝΗ. Twenty delegates of the Anglican-Orthodox Theological Dialogue gathered at St. Demetrios Church in Weston, MA for worship on Sunday, October 6th. His Eminence Metropolitan Athenagoras of Belgium together with His Eminence Metropolitan Serafim of Zimbabwe and Angola celebrated the Divine Liturgy... On September 29th, His Eminence Metropolitan Methodios presided over the Divine Liturgy at St. Demetrios in Weston, MA. The service was filled with joy and enthusiasm, and many people attended. His Eminence installed the parish's new priest, Father Tom Chinnis, who previously served as the Dean of the Annunciation Cathedral. ΒΟΣΤΩΝΗ. The Metropolis of Boston hosted the MBC Golf Tournament on Tuesday, September 24 at the Indian Ridge Country Club in Andover, MA. This annual golf classic is the only fundraiser for the Metropolis Camp. This year’s tournament was sold out and was a resounding success. BRAINTREE -- In the wake of the Aug. 5 announcement that Bishop Richard G. Henning of Providence had been appointed to succeed Cardinal Seán P. O'Malley as Archbishop of Boston, faith communities throughout Greater Boston have contacted the archdiocese to express their gratitude for Cardinal O'Malley's 21 years of leadership.

On the final day of camp after 6 weeks of summer camp, including a week of staff training, over 600 faithful gathered at our Saint Methodios Faith and Heritage Center for the divine liturgy and the ordination of Deacon Andrew (Jack) Bushell. His Eminence Metropolitan Methodios and the Metropolis of Boston Camp (MBC) hosted a camp-wide Glendi celebration during the fifth week of our summer camp program. Volunteers from across the Metropolis offered their time and talents to put on a night of music, dancing and authentic Greek food... BOSTON – More than eight hundred children of all ages from the communities of the Metropolis of Boston throughout New England participated this year in the programs of the Metropolis of Boston Camp Center, located in the town of Contoocook, NH...
