On December 6, 2024, Metropolitan Methodios visited St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church in Lexington, MA, to celebrate the Divine Liturgy in honor of the Feast Day of St. Nicholas, the church’s patron saint. The Divine Liturgy was a heartfelt celebration of St. Nicholas, a beloved figure in Orthodox tradition known for his generosity, humility, and dedication to faith. His Eminence delivered an inspiring sermon, highlighting the virtues of St. Nicholas and encouraging the faithful to emulate his love and service to others. From October 25-27, 2024, clergy and lay leaders from across the Metropolis of Boston came together at the St. Methodios Faith and Heritage Center for a retreat hosted by the Thriving Congregations Initiative (TCI). This three-day event provided participants with an inspiring combination of personal connection, practical tools, and spiritual enrichment to help them guide their parishes toward greater growth and engagement. On Sunday, December 1, His Eminence Metropolitan Methodios celebrated the Divine Liturgy at St. Catherine’s in Braintree to commemorate their recent Feast Day. During his visit, he tonsured six new Altar Boys, signifying a significant moment of spiritual growth and commitment for the parish's youth. The parish community warmly expressed their deep appreciation for his presence and blessings. The parish of Saint Philip in the city of Nashua, NH officially celebrated its feast day November 17. The celebration included the presence of Metropolitan Methodios of Boston who officiated during the Orthros (Matins) and Divine Liturgy. The pastor is Fr. Paul Bebis. On the afternoon of November 23, 2024, the Metropolis of Boston Philoptochos Board hosted a luncheon to launch their new cookbook, Around the Metropolis Table, dedicated to Metropolitan Methodios on the occasion of the 40th anniversary of his enthronement. The luncheon was attended by over 190 faithful from throughout New England. A lovely afternoon was organized at the Ithaki Restaurant in Peabody, MA. Everyone enjoyed a delicious luncheon prepared by Petros Markopoulos, chef/owner of the Ithaki.
