Rev. Fr. Anthony Evangelatos

Fr. Anthony Evangelatos is the youngest of two sons of the late Cosmos and Georgia Evangelatos. He was born and raised in the San Francisco metro area, and baptized at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church which he attended during his childhood. He then began attending the Annunciation Cathedral of San Francisco from the age of 12 through 32 when he moved away to get married. Growing up in San Francisco, Father enjoyed the ability to attend services at the various Orthodox churches in the city, which was a major part of his spiritual formation.

He attended the University of San Francisco where he continued his studies of Romance languages, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in Spanish as well as a business administration minor. He is fluent in English, Greek, Spanish, and partly fluent in Italian. He taught two levels of high school Spanish for one year, then entered the banking profession which lasted for 10 years. Fr. Anthony was blessed with the meeting of his future wife, followed by enrollment at Holy Cross to pursue studies toward the Holy Priesthood, having received the blessing of Metropolitan Anthony, of blessed memory. His marriage has produced four wonderful children who bring them much joy and pride. The latest celebratory event was the marriage of his eldest, Nikoletta, in September, 2016.
