St. Philip Greek Orthodox Church in Nashua, New Hampshire, celebrated its 50th anniversary on Saturday, November 4th, with a memorable dinner dance held at the Doubletree Hotel in Nashua. The event saw an impressive turnout of over 250 parishioners who came together to commemorate this milestone. The evening was filled with delectable food, lively dancing, heartfelt fellowship, and a wealth of nostalgic reminiscing. The celebration was graced by several notable speakers, including Father Paul Bebis, the presiding priest at St. Philip, who delivered a touching address. Father Tom Chininis, who had served at St. Philip for 18 years, shared his reflections, as did Father Nick Anctil, a native of Nashua who had attended St. Philip in his youth and currently serves at the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church in New Rochelle, New York. Tina Alexopoulos, the chairwoman of the 50th anniversary committee, delivered a beautiful and heartwarming speech, adding to the joyous atmosphere of the night.  

 

The festivities continued Sunday, November 5th, when Metropolitan Methodios presided over Divine Liturgy. His Eminence delivered a sermon that inspired parishioners to carry forward with unwavering faith, strength, and enthusiasm into the next 50 years.
